Hello everyone hope you have had a great weekend I know that I have, being honest it made coming back to work suck even more than usual. Friday was pretty good and thanks to being under paid this past 6 months I was able to treat myself to something really nice and head off to my first craft fair up in Exeter with a lovely friend, but first of all a little retail therapy.
Dirty.
I came home after a rough day in work today to almost fall over two large boxes for me, I must admit I was like a small child at Christmas, I ran upstairs, got changed and headed down for the unwrapping frenzy muhaha I love opening stuff.
Cycle ops Mag Trainer (without remote)
Riser Block
Garmin Cadence/Speed sensor + free Haribo (worth it for the sweets alone)
It is not often I spend out on myself like this.....okay maybe I do, but I don't look at this as splashing out, this is investing in my health and my future two very important things to me and will allow me to train with more focus and most important for me even in the worst of the winter months at times when even I seek shelter from the element, all this was aided by an error by the company payroll under paying me for nearly 6 months and a nice 20% off voucher so I guess everything happens for a reason, even the bad.
Saturday was also a great day as i headed up to Exeter with a great friend to visit a craft fair, okay I must admit, I have never been to one before, I was expecting lots of little old ladies oo'ing and ahh'ing over yarn and knitting needles, on the flip side what I discovered was something great, lots of inspiration and colors yeah there were old folk about, but loads of young people there too.....and lots of bored husbands, there was so much to see up there I found myself almost exhausted at the end of the day, it was only the great company that kept me going.
I could have spent a fortune at the stalls there and the next 20 years sewing them, yes I am a slow stitch er it is mostly a winter hobby for me.
New kits (Yest that is a Meerkat "simples")
Hoops, finally got some.
All in it was a good weekend, I am finally starting to feel better and almost back to my old self, the winter program is almost finished and ready to roll out and right now I am just riding 2-3 times a week until the race simply to keep the legs moving and try and maintain the fitness and prevent and further loss of form, hoping to do another blog this Saturday/Sunday weather permitting that I can roll out for a pre dawn ride so until then have a good one.
