Hard to imagine that it was back in March that I earned these lovelies when I managed to complete my Go the Dist Challenge and with miles in the bag too, so here is a taster.
They are just Shimano's SLX disc brakes running a 160mm rotor which will be more than adequate for my modest trail needs.
The good news keeps on coming this entry with a scale victory, yes after just over a month of avoiding the scales I stepped on them for quite a surprise as I had dropped down to 287.5lbs a loss of around 6lbs, I am so proud of myself. Given that I stopped recording my calories in early April and my muscle gain makes this loss so much sweeter.
My May challenge is well under way and is pretty much on schedule to meet my 150 mile goal this month but I am on a rest week next week so I will know better come next weekend. I am thinking of keeping this distance for my June challenge and then pushing it up to 200 miles for July, but the good thing about my progress right now is that is is a constant and always improving, having a loose dynamic plan able to adapt each week is quite handy.
Only real problem this month so far has been dealing with the changing weather we are having and most important the lack of sleep I am getting, still need to get my shit in order there and break into the routine as it is the sleep problem that is affecting my ability to ride and more important interact with people.
Well that is all for now, long ride tomorrow to complete this weeks rides then rest week next week, hoping to get some more photo's tomorrow and maybe some trail vids so until the next one.
Simon.

Way to go on the 6 pounds :)
